Project PLUGIN
After having recorded the first album on the streets, it became apparent that some of the street musicians have not been in a recording studio, and those that have often regret those far away days. Streetnote has clearly identified 3 street musicians whose work and dedication to music deserve being recorded in a professional recording studio environment.
Omer: Omer plays the guitar like Jimmy Hendrix and has the voice and attitude of John Lennon. He plays 8 to 10 hours a day, every day, but hardly makes any money. He is a neigborhood musician and a fixture in the Mission District.
Robert Close and Litz Plummer, This dynamic duo has been singing opera in the streets for some time now. They are at point where a professional sounding master might open a few doors for them. Even though Robert has sung in the streets for many years, he is trying to teach Litz the ins and out of singing and would love to help her succeed in a more professional setting.
Larry plays the buckets on Market Street and is also a fixture of this town. Larry has been featured as one of the most devoted musicians in the city, yet he struggles to make his weekly payment on his room. ______________________________________________________________________
What will these musicians get?
Musicians will have the opportunity of recording a “master demo” of their work. These 3 musicians will each have 6 hours of studio time, enough to record anywhere from 2 to 12 songs. There will be an additional 3 hours of editing and mixing. Finally, one hour of studio time will be used to archive this record.
Meanwhile, these three musicians will have their pictures taken, and will be interviewed. The nature of the interview will be informal. These elements will be used to create a virtual portrait of the artist. A web page featuring these specific sessions will be uploaded to the server (streetnote.org) which will feature the artists as well as their music.
Shortly after the mastering of these records, Streetnote will contact local radio stations (KPFA, KQED,KUSF) with a chance of getting some of the songs aired, and the artists introduced.

EVALUATION PLAN (MEASURING EFFECTIVNESS)
Streetnote measures its effectiveness much the same way an artist does: We must continue to seek increased exposure and growth without losing the creative spark that keeps us vital and responsive. Perhaps the strongest testament to our continued success is the many artists that are able to deliver their music using “technologically appropriate” ways and are able to further their art-form because of it.
